and as Jon said....
They made history by putting the stupidest shit on air ever. So apparently there was this feud thing between Colbert, Conan and Stewart. I couldn't help but to download all three shows on the night of 2/4/08.... The fight went on from show to show... it was pretty awesome and ridiculously stupid at the same time. I'm still waiting for the day when Chuck Norris comes back to kick Conan's ass again... There's a reason to that.... since Chuck Norris CAN NOT be made, none of those guys can claim they made anything at all....

prayers answered....
No not the rain, I didn't pray for that anyway.
I'm talking about the new flight path in Un'Goro. I have spent I think months of my life running to and from that spot. No more!!! There's a flight path! omg.... I am seldom so very happy.

sky diving
The conversation went something like this:
Him - So you know the thing I've been saying I wanted to do for a while now?
Me - Yeah, you wanted to jump out of a plane
Him - Yup, I did it on Sunday
Me - Very cool, good for you!
Him - You should look at the pictures and video
Me - Definitely
Him - So the thing is, I'll go do it again. It's only a 100 bucks. What do you think?
Me - That's cool, but I will never do it
Him - Well I showed the pictures to A. and she said she now wants to do it
Me - Naw, it's ok, you guys have fun. There needs to be somebody to identify the bodies
*Mom heard my comment and busted out laughing*

genie
A woman rubbed a bottle and out popped a genie. The amazed woman asked if she got three wishes. The genie said, "Nope, sorry, three-wish genies are a storybook myth. I'm a one-wish genie. So... what'll it be?"
The woman did not hesitate. She said, "I want peace in the Middle East. See this map? I want these countries to stop fighting with each other and I want all the Arabs to love the Jews and Americans and vice-versa. It will bring about world peace and harmony."
The genie looked at the map and exclaimed, "Lady, be reasonable. These countries have been at war for thousands of years. I'm out of shape after being in a bottle for five hundred years. I'm good but not THAT good! I don't think it can be done. Make another wish and please be reasonable."
The woman thought for a minute and said, "Well, I've never been able to find the right man. You know one that's considerate and fun, romantic, likes to cook and help with the house cleaning, is good in bed, and gets along with my family, doesn't watch sports all the time, and is faithful. That is what I wish for...a good man."
The genie let out a sigh and said, "Let me see the fucking map again."

Safari
I just downloaded Safari 3 on my laptop. Yeah. I run Windows, and I'm now using Safari. Granted I am a bit of an Apple fan girl. The only reason why I'm not running an Apple laptop right now is the price and competibility. But I'm on Safari! Yay!
I <3 Steve.

Taggaloo
Carrie tagged me again... 7 random things
1. I went to the bathroom in the bottom level of the business building yesterday morning. Person before me flushed and left. I get into the stall and it was still going. I seriously stood there and stared at it for a good 10 seconds. It wasn't stopping. I really had to go.... I felt like I was peeing into the rapids.
2. I get beet red after a flute of bubbly (I think I have a picture of that from last night).... but I never shy away from an occasional pint of Guinness/Smithicks/Blank&Tan or car bomb.
3. I get distracted pretty damn easily... can't you tell?!?! **hint - enormous amount of random postings**
4. I don't remember the last time I found a pair of shorts that is actually comfortable and looks good. Thank you Harajuku. No I didn't pay an arm an a leg for it. Which brings me to another point. I refuse to pay retail. Sales, clearance at the mall, and in this case... Loehmann's. My new shopping model - go to Metro park for brands and styles, heads back to Loehmanns's for those at less then half the price. These comfy short are only $19.99. Beat that! Ha!
5. I just looked down and noticed the beginning of flip-flop tan.
6. What is it about the comb-over that crosses race, culture, place, and time?
7. High school graduations are chaotic. Too many people. It's suffercating.

Trends
I am a self proclaimed list addict. I make my own lists to check off. Just look at my page. So you can imagine my delight when I find the new Google Trends feature. The basic principle of this thing is to find out what people are searching for. Of course it has a set of filters that takes out all the spam and porn. It leaves a bunch of pretty funny results on there. It's funny what people want to find out. Right about now, the one thing people are more curious about is Stone Phillips. Yup, your friendly NBC anchor that's being "downsized". Ok well, I wouldn't know that if I didn't look at the list. I would love to know how the algorithms work on this thing. I can't imagine it to be awfully complicated, but it's not anything I would have thought up.

Hey Twinky Winky, you can come out now
R.I.P. Jerry
**edited 10:49pm**
I got in a rather spirited explanation this evening about the life and death of Jerry Falwell. Here's the thing, the most "righteous" person in America dropped dead. Think about that one. What sort of religious implication does this have? You would think all of those "evil" people should be eradicated by what Jerry would call a God-sent plague, AIDS. Those people are the ones he wanted to drop dead... and he does first... What does it mean?
I found myself desperately searching for a meaning for this sudden turn of events.
I'm probably making too much of it. It is probably nothing but a passing of an American political giant for the last 30 years. This man made me realize how important free speech is, and how many ignorant people are still out there. We as Americans pride ourselves in our diversity, but bigotry is still alive and well. If nothing else, this person got somebody like me thinking.

haiku
Haiku (俳句, Haiku?) listen (help·info) is a mode of Japanese poetry, the late 19th century revision by Masaoka Shiki of the older hokku (発句, hokku?), the opening verse of a linked verse form, haikai no renga. The traditional hokku consisted of a pattern of approximately 5, 7, 5 on. The Japanese word on, meaning "sound", corresponds to a mora, a phonetic unit similar but not identical to the syllable of a language such as English. (The words onji, ("sound symbol") or moji (character symbol) are also sometimes used.) A haiku contains a special season word (the kigo) representative of the season in which the renga is set, or a reference to the natural world.
Haiku usually combines three different phrases, with a distinct grammatical break, called kireji, usually placed at the end of either the first five or second seven or last five morae. In Japanese, there are actual kireji words. In English, kireji is often replaced with commas, hyphens, elipses, or implied breaks in the haiku. These elements of the older haiku are considered by many to be essential to haiku as well, although they are not always included by modern writers of Japanese "free-form haiku" and of non-Japanese haiku. Japanese haiku are typically written as a single line, while English language haiku are traditionally separated into three lines.

the DS is not a team sport
Hey, the two fobby-probably-chinese-kids over there! Yeah you two, who are sitting across from the emo-kid-wannabe-with-a-bandana. I see one of you is playing the DS and the other is hovering over. Can you two not sit like you guys are cuddling? Not exactly a team sport there buddy.
