Safari

I just downloaded Safari 3 on my laptop. Yeah. I run Windows, and I'm now using Safari. Granted I am a bit of an Apple fan girl. The only reason why I'm not running an Apple laptop right now is the price and competibility. But I'm on Safari! Yay!

I <3 Steve.

sanity check

I think I'll have a case of the Mondays for about... oh at least another 4 weeks, not counting today. The marketing class is kind of mmm... hate to say it... boring. I think it's because I've had marketing before. I think learning how to use the equipment would help. *sigh* Anyway.

Work was long this weekend, and I got almost nothing done. I'll be working way too much this week. I already knew that. I do get a little bit of time to get some of that paperwork out of the way. And the more pay would help a bit. I can use it.

I don't get how some people can't learn how to do their job more effectively... after at least 6 months on the job... close to a year. How some people lack problem solving skill escapes me. It leaves me with more things to do. Some people just don't know how to think in an efficient and profitable manner.

I just realize I'm not really going to have a holiday until the 4th of July. True I am taking a day off this 24th to go to SF pride with some friends, but that's not really off. I for one think it's going to be a lot of work. So yeah... not until the 4th of July. After that, I get a bigger break in August. I already have plans for that... woohoo!

Taggaloo

Carrie tagged me again... 7 random things

1. I went to the bathroom in the bottom level of the business building yesterday morning. Person before me flushed and left. I get into the stall and it was still going. I seriously stood there and stared at it for a good 10 seconds. It wasn't stopping. I really had to go.... I felt like I was peeing into the rapids.

2. I get beet red after a flute of bubbly (I think I have a picture of that from last night).... but I never shy away from an occasional pint of Guinness/Smithicks/Blank&Tan or car bomb.

3. I get distracted pretty damn easily... can't you tell?!?! **hint - enormous amount of random postings**

4. I don't remember the last time I found a pair of shorts that is actually comfortable and looks good. Thank you Harajuku. No I didn't pay an arm an a leg for it. Which brings me to another point. I refuse to pay retail. Sales, clearance at the mall, and in this case... Loehmann's. My new shopping model - go to Metro park for brands and styles, heads back to Loehmanns's for those at less then half the price. These comfy short are only $19.99. Beat that! Ha!

5. I just looked down and noticed the beginning of flip-flop tan.

6. What is it about the comb-over that crosses race, culture, place, and time?

7. High school graduations are chaotic. Too many people. It's suffercating.

low hanging fruit

I had a pretty good lecture this morning. It was very engaging, and I think I actually was learning. After the break, somebody asked about who we should study for the tests. This conversation evolved into the strategy to pass 7 classes in one semester (which the professor had done in his undergraduate days). Pick the low hanging fruit he said. If you can get an easy A, by gosh take it! If the class is going to be really hard, be satisfy with a C. It evens out in the long run. I can't help but to agree entirely with his theory... heck... I put it into practice last semester. But I suppose I could have done even better if I did put a bit more efforts into it. So there. School is like trying to implement socialist ideas in a communist regime... just go for the lowest denominator and you'll be ok.

this one

Can't afford it.... the size is perfect... I want!

case of the monday?

Class was out a little early today. Only watched a video. Went over to A.'s and went to lunch with A & T. Went to the mall for a bit. Came home to veg. I should go run. But when I wanted to go... it was like 5... I wouldn't be able to find a treadmill. I'll go in like.... half an hour. It'll die down a bit.

Oh yes... I started school again today. Joy.
