low hanging fruit

I had a pretty good lecture this morning. It was very engaging, and I think I actually was learning. After the break, somebody asked about who we should study for the tests. This conversation evolved into the strategy to pass 7 classes in one semester (which the professor had done in his undergraduate days). Pick the low hanging fruit he said. If you can get an easy A, by gosh take it! If the class is going to be really hard, be satisfy with a C. It evens out in the long run. I can't help but to agree entirely with his theory... heck... I put it into practice last semester. But I suppose I could have done even better if I did put a bit more efforts into it. So there. School is like trying to implement socialist ideas in a communist regime... just go for the lowest denominator and you'll be ok.
