So This Is Christmas...

It was nice to just spend the day with the folks. I slept through a bunch of it because I haven't had too much sleep in the past week. I got a bunch of text from people. It's the new mass mailing of Christmas cards you know. Nobody does an actual card anymore. I went ahead and got a really nice card for the parental units. My mom asks me why I always gets the nice cards, and I tell her because I can, and she deserves the best. I got her a pair of down booties from Restoration Hardware and a key ring from Tiffany's. She's not going to use it, she doesn't want to scrath it. Just as well. I thought it was more practical then anything else I can think of. Honestly, I don't think we need another coffee maker.... we don't have room on the counter. I also got them a kit from Restoration Hardware to grow paperwhites. We'll have some nice ones growing in time for chinese new years. That would be good. Last but not least, I got my dad a Palm T/X. He can't stop playing with it. Plus he still hasn't figured out how to transfer data from his old Palm V without wiping it. Yeah... wtg for trying to find directions. I'll let him figure it out. But the urge to just do it for him is high. I guess I'm a geek after all.

I finally got around to watch Pirates 2, it's been sitting there for quite some time. I liked it. But then you'd have to remember the first movie to really enjoy it. Which my parents didn't really.... So that was fun. Last night we watched a Jackie Chan movie from last year called The Myth. I liked that one too I'll have to say. There's actually a good plot line. Very much like Indiana Jones with some present/past life stuff mixed in it. It was good till the end when I found a few major plot holes. But hell, it was fun. Who doesn't like a Jackie Chan movie anyway.

I've been trying to pick back up my crochet. This blanket is seriously taking too damn long. I've only gone through like 3 and a half yarns..... bah... that's what I get for trying to make a queen size one. It'll be a while. Next halloween maybe? it's got the colors for it.

I need to clean my room this week for sure. I was seriously going to do it last week.... but the urge to make as much money as possible called. I worked till I was exhausted and got up the next morning to do it all over again. At least I feel pretty accomplished this week at work. We'll see what happens when I go in next Saturday. Yeah you read that right. It's Monday, and I don't work till Saturday. I had the same schedule last week too. So we'll see.

I did get a couple of really nice presents... problem is, I've been wearing the major one since last Thursday when it came by FedEx. Let's just say my hand is shinier then before. Love it, don't really need it, so I wear it all the time.

There is actually a lot for me to do. I think I'll sleep early tonight. I am planning to go shopping at 6 afterall....
